8-111 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-111 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 0.424 in (10.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.63 in (16 mm), catalogued under part number HB90111. It allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. This material stands up to greases and lubricants, many alcohols, and petroleum-based oils. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where polar solvents or strong acids are present.
