8-142 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

HB90142 is an AS568-142 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 2.362 in (59.99 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.568 in (65.23 mm). In service, this back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. It resists water, petroleum-based oils, and many alcohols. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to polar solvents or strong acids will shorten service life.
