8-177 BLACK BUNA 90D BACK-UP RING

The HB90177 is an AS568-177 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 9.487 in (240.97 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.693 in (246.2 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) offers an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and low compression set under sustained load. The compound resists many alcohols, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ozone and direct sunlight or ketones are present.

Typical settings include general industrial maintenance, automotive, and fluid power.
