568-028 BLACK HNBR HSN70 O-Ring

APG stocks the HSN70028, an AS568-028 black HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.364 in (34.65 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.504 in (38.2 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, excellent abrasion and tear strength. It resists heat and oxidation, modern refrigerants, and ozone and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to ketones or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include commercial refrigeration, heavy-duty powertrain, and automotive air conditioning.
