The HSN70029 is an AS568-029 black HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.489 in (37.82 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.629 in (41.38 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists heat and oxidation, modern refrigerants, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is valued for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. Applications involving strong oxidizing acids or ketones call for a different compound.
