The HSN70149 is an AS568-149 black HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.8 in (71.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.006 in (76.35 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Expect good resistance to ozone and weathering, petroleum oils and fuels, and modern refrigerants. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to ketones or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.
