An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists petroleum oils and fuels, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and heat and oxidation. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for excellent abrasion and tear strength, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where chlorinated hydrocarbons or esters are present.
