Ordered as HSN70228, this is an AS568-228 black HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. Expect good resistance to sour gas and amine inhibitors, modern refrigerants, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 325°F (162.8°C).
