568-238 BLACK HNBR HSN70 O-Ring

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-238 black HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 3.484 in (88.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.762 in (95.55 mm), catalogued under part number HSN70238. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, excellent abrasion and tear strength. It resists sour gas and amine inhibitors, modern refrigerants, and heat and oxidation. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in esters or strong oxidizing acids.
