HSN (HNBR) 80 568-006

Part number HSN80006 is an AS568-006 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.114 in (2.9 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.254 in (6.45 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against heat and oxidation, modern refrigerants, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, excellent abrasion and tear strength. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving chlorinated hydrocarbons or ketones call for a different compound.

Typical settings include commercial refrigeration, engine timing systems, and oilfield and downhole equipment.
