This o-ring is supplied in AS568-438 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 6.225 in (158.12 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.775 in (172.09 mm), catalogued under part number HSN80438. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, ozone and weathering, and modern refrigerants. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C).
