HSN (HNBR) 80 568-209

Part number HSN80209 is an AS568-209 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.671 in (17.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.949 in (24.1 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) offers the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. The material holds up against heat and oxidation, petroleum oils and fuels, and modern refrigerants. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where chlorinated hydrocarbons or ketones are present.

Typical settings include automotive air conditioning, engine timing systems, and heavy-duty powertrain.
