APG stocks the HSN80238, an AS568-238 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.484 in (88.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.762 in (95.55 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to ozone and weathering, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and modern refrigerants. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. Exposure to esters or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in heavy-duty powertrain, oilfield and downhole equipment, and commercial refrigeration.
