HSN (HNBR) 80 568-242

The HSN80242 is an AS568-242 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) offers strong resistance to rapid gas decompression, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. Expect good resistance to sour gas and amine inhibitors, ozone and weathering, and heat and oxidation. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.
