HSN (HNBR) 80 568-370

The HSN80370 is an AS568-370 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 8.225 in (208.92 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.645 in (219.58 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Expect good resistance to ozone and weathering, modern refrigerants, and heat and oxidation. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving ketones or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in engine timing systems, commercial refrigeration, and oilfield and downhole equipment.
