This o-ring is supplied in AS568-228 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A with an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm), catalogued under part number HSN90228. It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, excellent abrasion and tear strength. The compound resists heat and oxidation, modern refrigerants, and petroleum oils and fuels. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C).

It sees regular use in oilfield and downhole equipment, automotive air conditioning, and heavy-duty powertrain.
