HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is valued for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. Applications involving chlorinated hydrocarbons or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.
