HSN90242 is an AS568-242 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. It resists modern refrigerants, petroleum oils and fuels, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to ketones or esters will shorten service life.
