Part number HQ4032 is an AS568-032 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.864 in (47.35 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.004 in (50.9 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. This material stands up to propane and butane, petroleum-based oils, and many alcohols. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C).
