This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-033 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile built to an inside diameter of 1.989 in (50.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.129 in (54.08 mm), catalogued under part number HQ4033. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists petroleum-based oils, water, and hydraulic fluids. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or strong acids are present.
