Ordered as HQ4123, this is an AS568-123 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.174 in (4.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.38 in (35.05 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, water, and many alcohols. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ketones or strong acids will shorten service life.
