HQ4148 is an AS568-148 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.737 in (69.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.943 in (74.75 mm). In service, this quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

It resists hydraulic fluids, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers low compression set under sustained load and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving strong acids or ketones call for a different compound.
