The HQ4206 is an AS568-206 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.484 in (12.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.762 in (19.35 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

It resists many alcohols, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) offers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ozone and direct sunlight or polar solvents are present.

It sees regular use in fluid power, general industrial maintenance, and agricultural equipment.
