APG stocks the HQ4228, an AS568-228 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm). A quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

The material holds up against many alcohols, greases and lubricants, and water. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers strong abrasion and tear resistance, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight will shorten service life.
