This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-232 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile with an inside diameter of 2.734 in (69.44 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.012 in (76.5 mm), catalogued under part number HQ4232. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C).
