HQ4274 is an AS568-274 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 9.984 in (253.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.262 in (260.65 mm). In service, this quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

This material stands up to propane and butane, water, and hydraulic fluids. Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Applications involving strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight call for a different compound.
