Ordered as HQ4435, this is an AS568-435 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.725 in (145.42 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.275 in (159.39 mm). The quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) offers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to petroleum-based oils, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
