The HQ4462 is an AS568-462 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 16.455 in (417.96 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.005 in (431.93 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. The compound resists many alcohols, petroleum-based oils, and water. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
