APG stocks the HSN80001, an AS568-001 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.029 in (0.74 mm), a cross section of 0.04 in (1.02 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.109 in (2.77 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
Expect good resistance to ozone and weathering, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and modern refrigerants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is valued for strong resistance to rapid gas decompression, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving esters or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.
Typical settings include automotive air conditioning, oilfield and downhole equipment, and heavy-duty powertrain.
Stocked as HSN80001 and sold individually. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation.
