HSN (HNBR) 80 568-004

HSN80004 is an AS568-004 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.21 in (5.33 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for excellent abrasion and tear strength, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Expect good resistance to modern refrigerants, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and petroleum oils and fuels. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in esters or strong oxidizing acids.

Common environments for this compound include commercial refrigeration, automotive air conditioning, and heavy-duty powertrain.
