HSN (HNBR) 80 568-039

APG stocks the HSN80039, an AS568-039 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.739 in (69.57 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.879 in (73.13 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, heat and oxidation, and ozone and weathering. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where chlorinated hydrocarbons or ketones are present.

Typical settings include engine timing systems, automotive air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration.
