HSN (HNBR) 80 568-040

The HSN80040 is an AS568-040 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to sour gas and amine inhibitors, heat and oxidation, and ozone and weathering. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.

Common environments for this compound include heavy-duty powertrain, oilfield and downhole equipment, and engine timing systems.
