HSN (HNBR) 80 568-042

APG stocks the HSN80042, an AS568-042 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.239 in (82.27 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.379 in (85.83 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against sour gas and amine inhibitors, ozone and weathering, and modern refrigerants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to strong oxidizing acids or esters will shorten service life.
