HSN (HNBR) 80 568-049

The HSN80049 is an AS568-049 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.989 in (126.72 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.129 in (130.28 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to sour gas and amine inhibitors, heat and oxidation, and modern refrigerants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where chlorinated hydrocarbons or strong oxidizing acids are present.

It sees regular use in automotive air conditioning, engine timing systems, and heavy-duty powertrain.
