HSN (HNBR) 80 568-104

APG stocks the HSN80104, an AS568-104 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.112 in (2.84 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.318 in (8.08 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, ozone and weathering, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.

Typical settings include oilfield and downhole equipment, commercial refrigeration, and heavy-duty powertrain.
