The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists sour gas and amine inhibitors, ozone and weathering, and modern refrigerants. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) offers long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability.
