This o-ring is supplied in AS568-122 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.112 in (28.24 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.318 in (33.48 mm), catalogued under part number HSN80122. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers excellent abrasion and tear strength, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. The material holds up against sour gas and amine inhibitors, petroleum oils and fuels, and ozone and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving ketones or esters call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include heavy-duty powertrain, engine timing systems, and commercial refrigeration.
