HSN (HNBR) 80 568-149

APG stocks the HSN80149, an AS568-149 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.8 in (71.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.006 in (76.35 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists modern refrigerants, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and ozone and weathering. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is widely chosen for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or esters are present.

Common environments for this compound include oilfield and downhole equipment, automotive air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration.
