This o-ring is supplied in AS568-161 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A with an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm), catalogued under part number HSN80161. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. The material holds up against heat and oxidation, modern refrigerants, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving chlorinated hydrocarbons or esters call for a different compound.
