An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. It resists heat and oxidation, modern refrigerants, and ozone and weathering. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C).
