Ordered as HSN80172, this is an AS568-172 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8.237 in (209.22 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.443 in (214.45 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. Expect good resistance to sour gas and amine inhibitors, petroleum oils and fuels, and modern refrigerants. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. Exposure to strong oxidizing acids or chlorinated hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
