The HSN80178 is an AS568-178 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 9.737 in (247.32 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.943 in (252.55 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, modern refrigerants, and ozone and weathering. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving ketones or chlorinated hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
