Part number HSN80249 is an AS568-249 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.859 in (123.42 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.137 in (130.48 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for excellent abrasion and tear strength, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. This material stands up to ozone and weathering, heat and oxidation, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It should not be specified for service in chlorinated hydrocarbons or esters.
