Ordered as HSN80277, this is an AS568-277 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 11.484 in (291.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.762 in (298.75 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists heat and oxidation, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and petroleum oils and fuels. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving strong oxidizing acids or ketones call for a different compound.

Typical settings include engine timing systems, commercial refrigeration, and automotive air conditioning.
