This o-ring is supplied in AS568-385 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.375 in (415.93 mm), catalogued under part number HSN80385. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is widely chosen for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. It resists ozone and weathering, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving esters or ketones call for a different compound.
