Ordered as HSN80388, this is an AS568-388 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 18.953 in (481.41 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 19.373 in (492.07 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for excellent abrasion and tear strength, oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and ozone and weathering. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving ketones or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include heavy-duty powertrain, oilfield and downhole equipment, and commercial refrigeration.
