APG stocks the HSN80417, an AS568-417 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.025 in (102.24 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
It resists petroleum oils and fuels, ozone and weathering, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or strong oxidizing acids are present.
It sees regular use in automotive air conditioning, oilfield and downhole equipment, and commercial refrigeration.
HSN80417 ships individually. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. For a size or compound outside the standard catalog, APG can quote from a print or sample.
