Ordered as HSN80420, this is an AS568-420 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.85 in (97.79 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.4 in (111.76 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers excellent abrasion and tear strength, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. The compound resists ozone and weathering, heat and oxidation, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or strong oxidizing acids are present.

Common environments for this compound include automotive air conditioning, oilfield and downhole equipment, and heavy-duty powertrain.
