This o-ring is supplied in AS568-459 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 14.975 in (380.37 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.525 in (394.34 mm), catalogued under part number HSN80459. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists sour gas and amine inhibitors, modern refrigerants, and heat and oxidation. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving chlorinated hydrocarbons or esters call for a different compound.
