HSN (HNBR) 80 568-918

The HSN80918 is an AS568-918 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.355 in (34.42 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.587 in (40.31 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists modern refrigerants, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is widely chosen for excellent abrasion and tear strength, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to chlorinated hydrocarbons or esters will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include commercial refrigeration, engine timing systems, and automotive air conditioning.
